The pitch

Every race has eight runners with stamina dynamics — sprinters pull early leads, plodders come home strong, and the underdog often takes it. Eighteen coat variants and a roster of named horses keep every race feeling fresh.

Chat votes by typing a number 1–8 to bet. Cheer your pick with an emoji during the race for a small speed boost. The handicap penalises heavy bets slightly — the favourite isn't always safe.

How a race plays

1. Streamer says `!start`

The gates open, the betting board appears, and the eight horses load in with their names and colours. Chat sees the field for ten or fifteen seconds.

2. Chat bets a number 1–8

One bet per viewer. The bet board updates live with tallies — favourites and longshots emerge. The handicap nudges the field toward parity.

3. They're away

Eight horses, eight lanes, fourteen seconds of stamina-driven chaos. Chat cheers with emojis to nudge their pick — visible on the track as little floating reactions.

4. Photo finish

Top three on the podium. Picked the winner? 1000 points. 8th place still pays 100. Scoring slides linearly so every lane has a stake.

5. Next race loads automatically

Continuous play — the next race opens within a beat. !abort ends the session and rolls to the final standings podium.
